- ajnin 10y agoActually we're now on a 13 consecutive months record-setting streak. (that is, the last 13 months all broke the previous global temperature record)
- collyw 10y agoThat should worry you.
- Brakenshire 10y agoEvery one of the last 13 months has broken the record for the hottest month on record. In other words, May 2015 was the warmest May on record, June 2015 was the warmest June on record, same for July 2015, August 2015, September 2015, October 2015, November 2015, December 2015, January 2016, February 2016, March 2016, April 2016, and now May 2016. https://www.ncdc.noaa.gov/sotc/global/201604 https://www.ncdc.noaa.gov/sotc/global/201604
- dave2000 10y agoThat'll be because the world is getting hotter. In some places in the Northern Hemisphere it's increasing at the same rate as if you moved south 30 metres every single day. The current measurements are far worse than even the most pessimistic estimates of around 20 years ago.
