Outlook already has a social connector. I find it useful actually, I can quickly see a job title and company even if they do not include a signature. I think this would also be pretty useful in other Office apps. When using Track Changes in Word for example, you can get far more metadata included with LinkedIn integration than without. LinkedIn will likely be more up to date than AD also. The AD profile picture attribute is underutilised in my option, it would be cool if we could automatically pull that from LinkedIn than have to set up a Sharepoint portal for the user to set it or do so manually.
