This is nonsense. It's still a computer, it's just got the minimum feature set necessary to capture a string of characters and save it to the cloud. At best, the lack of distractions would make it easier to "write" in the artisanal sense. However, nobody can produce artisanal writing that anybody else wants to read without editing, and by stripping out all "distracting" features this little "typewriter" is incapable of editing.
So it takes an extremely flexible technology (computers) and removes all of the features in the name of distraction free creation, ensuring that whatever you produce will be unreadable and require a normal computer with more features to edit into something readable.
