- jhallenworld 10y agoOf course, and I was jokingly pointing out a slight similarity between Somerville and the famed Kowloon Walled City, which was demolished because of its extreme density (3.25 M inhabitants / square mile vs. 18K inhabitants / square mile for Somerville). Basically, is it possible for the mores to change so much (as reflected in the zoning codes) that not only would the city be illegal to build now, but that it should be demolished? What happened to Kowloon suggests that it is.
