- dev1n 10y agoIt's truly incredible that I can sit here, plug my headphones into this little electrical box and "hear" the gravitational sound of two black holes colliding. If only Mr. Einstein could be here to listen.

- jerf 10y agoTruly an unbelievably jaunty little sound considering that it represents the entire mass of our solar system being converted into energy. Yow.

And to put that into perspective: "The amount of matter converted to energy in the atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima was about 700 milligrams, less than one-third the mass of a U.S. dime."
