All good points, although I would supplement that "microdosing" tiny amounts of powerful hallucinogens (with doses so low that psychoactive effects can barely be registered) has also gained traction in recent years. Proponents of microdosing argue that taking 1/20th of a tab of acid every few days allows them to remain productive while under the influence, and that the effects are more positive and profound than they have experienced with traditional antidepressants.
