  Culture. Missing out on /culture/. Also if you want to avoid spoilers you can't participate in normal discussion venues because there's always going to be that one user that just can't behave.

  I second 'culture'. Commercial entertainment can be a shared interest. If I were to completely recuse myself from commercial entertainment, my relationships with my friends would suffer. But I have a limited budget, so I prioritize movies I think I'd like and movies I think my friends would enjoy talking about; I have less incentive (and money) to see lesser-known or less popular movies at full ticket price.
