It makes me happy to see a community taking back themselves from the hands of big business VCs. Keep the money there, doing things themselves. Uber and Lyft aren't that special. Their technology is commodity, and they know it. Ride sharing should be operated like Craigslist, not a ploy to make a bunch of fatcat VCs and Travis a bunch of money.
