They'd like to pass their own (e.g.) consumer protection laws and negotiate their own trade deals. Which is cool and all... until they'll realize that, to trade with the EU were Brexit to come, they'll still need to comply with EU regulations. Only then, they'll no longer be voting on them (at all).
