I know of select shift Ford fusion that had a transmission slip problem (spoiler: later fixed by a software update) but Ford refused to acknowledge it as a problem that their own dealership's mechanic acknowledged until much later when they came up with that fix. Pete didn't want to return the car. He didn't want to sue Ford. He kept getting non-answers for months.
