My longtime gf and I co-own our business. I run the technical side, she runs the business side. It works well, but you definitely need a strong relationship for it to work. Also, since I do business in China and I'm a white foreigner, her presence as a native mainlander is absolutely essential. I have yet to meet a successful foreign entrepreneur here who does not have a native romantic+business partner helping him/her.
