The point of school is to learn how to think in a certain way. If you study engineering then you learn to think as an engineer. Ideally you will learn to learn, but not everyone that finishes a degree is good at teaching their own self new ideas and thoughts. Take classes outside your major to see other methods of thinking and analysis. I've been reading several of the 'Rich Dad, Poor Dad' books which are interesting as they ask what type of worker do you want to be. Find a cheap used copy, it might provide food for thought.
