Figure 3 shows that 25% of black kids who had parents in the bottom two quintiles moved up at least one quintile, while 59% of white kids who had parents in the bottom two quintiles moved up at least one quintile. The comparison is perfectly valid. Vox is guilty of both incorrect and imprecise wording here, but not deception.
