We were thinking of these: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flag_semaphore https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flag_semaphore Semaphoric patterns are used in the application as a more visually appealing means of peer key verification, device provisioning, etc. than say, QR codes.
