Also, a couple of months ago I enabled the "Listen for 'Hey Siri' when plugged in" option on my iPhone and it's been super helpful. My phones typically plugged in right infront of me when I'm working, as well as in the car. I use it frequently to start a phone call "Hey siri call ___" and it works wonderfully.
