Now we both got downvoted from all the strong opinions here. I think your question is valid. If you read the text about the president needing to speak to a priest it is considered very bad that a person with a lot of military power needs to get so low and talk to a normal person without any military power directly. My interpretation of that kind of comment is that it feels anti free speech, pro surveilance, pro censorship.
