Fascinating hardware with great processing speed. One question for the knowledgeable: Why are speeds for PostgreSQL hashes so high (~ 25k MH/s) compared with, say, MSSQL(2012) (~ 1k MH/s)?

Postgres is MD5; MSSQL(2012) is SHA-512.
