Do you mean whispering? I just tried whispering to my phone and it got it perfectly.
- Gys 10y agoIt probably needs to be very quiet for that to work. Which usually is not in the public space.
- mikeash 10y agoSubvocalization is your "internal me," the not-sound you make when you talk to yourself. Apparently this internal voice actually results in some muscle movements, and it's thought that with the right sensors and software it would be possible to recognize it as speech. Nobody has quite gotten it to work yet, though.
