Very interesting story although I wonder how effective this would be outside of a large corporation. The author never said what Saul actually did or produced.
- maxklein 17y agoHe was business development. I really don't know what they do, talk about business stuff?
- mattm 17y agoAh, missed that. It was mentioned in the first paragraph.
- alaithea 17y agoIn my limited experience, in tech companies, they tend to work just above project managers and shape product development and direction, by interacting with clients and the industry at large. But this is still a rather vague idea of what they actually do all day. Isn't that like most developers' impressions of managerial jobs?
- johnrob 17y agoIt's kind of like sales, but instead of directly selling to customers you are pursuing partnerships with other companies.
