- Animats 10y agoThat doesn't need the "cloud". It just needs a broadcast signal telling your appliances the current price of electricity.
- lucaspiller 10y agoIt's not exactly the same, but in the UK, Economy 7 is effectively a low tech version of this. At night the price of electricity is cheaper, so electric storage heaters and boilers are switched on then to take advantage of the lower costs and reduce demand at peak times.
