Yes, but at least passing interface events doesn't require issuing a HTTP request to some server located halfway across the globe, and it gets at least some of the native metaphors right. It still looks and feels like a square peg in a round hole (not to mention slower than a drunk tortoise), but it's a little better than a web page thing.
