Donnie Eichar's book Dead Mountain is a good, fun read on it.

This suggested that they were freaked out by infrasound caused by a Karman vortex street caused by wind flowing around Холатча́хль. It's plausible, as it happens elsewhere, but has anyone checked to see if this does actually ever occur on Холатча́хль?

Not that I know of, but how often does it occur where it does occur? That is, how long would you have to leave a recording device there to invalidate the infrasound hypothesis?
