School is a time where you'll have time. You'll have time to code, to explore, and most importantly for some, time to get just a little older. You'll be amazed how much you learn about yourself and your interests, and how much you'll develop yourself and your interests. All of this will lend some relevancy to whatever self-motivated doings you wind up with down the road.
