From Sam's original post on BI: "We have some examples of something close to a basic income in other countries, but we’d like to see how it would work in the US."[1] Why the focus on the US, exactly? Why not focus the research grant on the undoubtably massively larger data set of basic income / welfare programs in more Social Democratic style governments?
