Ask HN: Why should anyone use Apple's Carekit?

We are developing an EHR and we are creating a little App just to remind those Doctor's patients the medication/treatment in an easy way. We are looking to the Apple's Carekit framework to see if there is any advantage in using it, and we do not see any clear benefit for us (Apart from prebuilt modules). Are we missing something ?
