While the title and the introduction started seeming a bit click-bait-y and pretentious (the problems described aren't exactly new nor are a crisis creeping in), the entire post was well worth the read. Really good 'common sense' stuff that unfortunately is still needed to be spelt out for most 'senior engineers / managers'. Really sound advice.
