Is "boiling the ocean" 2016's "Considered Harmful"?
- tremon 10y agoI took it to mean "it's so inefficient that it's measurably contributing to climate change"...
- justinlardinois 10y agoIt means an attempt to do something so so impossibly difficult that you might as well be trying to boil the ocean. I believe a definition was linked to in the article. I brought up the comparison because I've seen it in wayyyy too many tech articles lately.
