No, people don't need to understand anything about "data they have", because it is not people that have data, it is corporations, and they don't "understand" things, they make profit. What people need to understand is that they are data and that data is a product that can be used against them.
- jonathankoren 10y agoCorporations are people. And I mean that not in the legal sense, but in that they are made up of people. Real people that make real decisions, both ethical an unethical, about real people, not "data".
