  No it's not. They paint Thiel as a supervillain for helping prosecute a company who did the wrong thing and cost someone their job. The precedent that media companies can share and promote negative private data that doesn't contribute to the public good is a worse precedent than that a person can fund a lawsuit against a company to air those grievances in court.
