use the `pkgin` binary to install binaries built from joyent... (https://pkgsrc.joyent.com/packages/Darwin/ https://pkgsrc.joyent.com/packages/Darwin/) No need to clone the package tree. This fixes step 1. `sudo bmake install clean` fixes step two....
