Incandescents work more similarly to the sun and are basically a natural full spectrum light source. Florescents and LEDs are not, so they need to be tweaked/hacked/refined to produce an ideal spectrum. Florescents are known to use mercury to help with this, making them bad for the environment. And though the prices are coming down, high CRI LED's have been a trailing technology with high CRI 5000K bulbs becoming affordable/viable only recently.
