Ask HN: Can you recommend some RFCs to read?

Hi HN, I just completed reading the drafts for TFTP (Trivial File Transfer Protocol), and loved some of its concepts. I felt like I can implement it as a framework (client-server pair) with some good things layered around it. But I had to rethink about it because, TFTP don't have much use now-a-days (Am I wrong here?). Considering that it's generally used in LAN for delivering small-sized files. Can you please suggest some protocol specific readings that I can implement? I would love to work on it, spending the summer time I have before I join my work.
