I agree that there's a lot of AI hype and I suspect that we won't see all that much come out of it. At the same time, there's a bit of a cop-out that goes on when we privilege our own cognitive processes over those of an AI just because our own minds are, more or less, a black-box. I think he does a lot of that in this article. At the end of the day "human intuition" is just a filler until we figure out what's really going on.
