Scary.
- jackgavigan 10y agoThat's a fictional depiction, including elements from both the Demon Core incidents. For example, there were no metal blocks surrounding the assembly during the incident that resulted in Slotin's death - that's from the earlier incident that led to the death of Harry Daghlian.
- JoeDaDude 10y agoThere is a fact-based dramatization of the incident on the Dark Matters TV show. Look for Season 2, Episode 4: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HPFhKUt245E https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HPFhKUt245E (Edited video source)

- lobster_johnson 10y agoIt's a great scene (even though it's highly fictionalized), and it's a shame that the film itself is so mediocre. In particular, Oppenheimer and Leslie Groves were horribly miscast. Sam Waterston in the Oppenheimer (1980) miniseries was much more true to life.
