- Brakenshire 10y agoThe phone's going to be priced at the mid to high range. Including all the important components pre-built means that it can't be sold at a low price. 'A single phone for everyone' was the original idea, but it seems they've given up on it.
- qq66 10y agoVery doubtful that this will lead to a lower-total-cost-of-ownership phone for anyone vs. buying the $30 Android phone and replacing it when it breaks. More likely that this will become a standard compute/networking interface into a bunch of specialized modules (stereoscopic cameras, home automation, industrial control, etc.)
