Ask HN: Help with 3000 miles and poor kids

How can I help him? A friend of mine from my church is running 3000 miles cross country to raise funds for a mobile pediatric health clinic that will serve the poorest neighborhoods in DC and LA. As a "hacker", how can I help him with his fundraising at http://links.dotnetfactory.com/ifvgf ??? I know I am asking for magic but there must be a way to help him get this "viral" somehow. Maybe some media exposure or something?!?
