I dont undertand, why reaching the critical mass would make the business fail ? It's not all about growth

  It wouldn't make them fail but as an investment the growth could be priced in which is bad if they miss targets.

    Apple is a 10 P/E, FYI. And their earnings are GAAP, unlike their "growing" peers.
