Actuary is a great cozy career (less exciting in both good and bad ways). I recommend it if you like it. The only downside is limited geographic range.
But for me, software is a calling.

- eru 10y agoYes. I had a talk about this in Hacker News a while back, when I was deciding on whether to go into software or become an actuary. You can do both.
- totalrobe 10y agoWell the majority of good software jobs are going to be geographically limited as well, unless you have the skillset and experience to break into remote work.
