I've read a few chapters of this and have found it be well written and a great introduction to assembly programming. It was written for 32-bit but so far everything works just fine on my 64 bit linux system. Also it was interesting to learn alongside C. It helped to see the workings of a machine from those two vantage points. Also of note is the author's story of writing the book and giving it away as a labor of love. Very nice
