What if the content I paid for by viewing ads wasn't worth it? Am I entitled to a refund?
- soared 10y agoInteresting way to think about it! I'll give you your $0.03 if you don't like my blog.. But I guess the answer is that you no longer like that site and stop going their, so they don't get future ad views?
- charonn0 10y agoInternet publishers must have some reciprocal moral obligation to their readers if their readers are morally obliged to "pay" upfront.
- soared 10y agoI think that points to the "bubble". It doesn't really cost* the user anything to view the ad, but the site gets revenue from it. *economically. Right now the dollar value of your security/privacy/etc is $0 because you generally aren't willing to pay more for it.
