Katherine Dunn has died; the 'Geek Love' author once took the world by storm
- KingMob 10y agoThis was a great book, but the "cyber-ish" Chip Kidd cover was misleading. It's not about computer geeks, but about carnival geeks, where the term originates. For those who have never read it, it's a fascinating story about a traveling carnival family whose parents decided to breed their own freaks. When pregnant, the mother ingests all sorts of poisons, pesticides, etc. to ensure that her children have deformities.
