Ask HN: Where do you find technical interns?
I'm thinking about starting a company (similar to WayUp) that helps technical students find internships. If you are a large company, you use campus recruiting and if you are a small company it's mostly word of mouth.
- smt88 10y agoInterns are a time suck most of the time. None of my companies have been big enough to afford to have them. Some companies use unpaid interns to resolve that issue, but that's illegal in the US unless the intern does not meaningful work that an employee would otherwise do and also learns something.
