For me, they ran before they could walk. Anything graphics-related could wait (although Nile is awesome, so they're forgiven). It feels like they were focused on trying to sell their findings rather than just focusing on research. But I'm a huge fan of everyone involved in this, so that's not criticism -- just speculation.
