They do use Kontakt reactive armor but what's the APS?
- lisivka 10y agoNo, Ukrainians developed their own active protection because they had no money to license Kontakt and it is quite different. Kontakt fires metal plate against shell to stop and detonate it, Nizh is cumulative and tries to fragment incoming shell.
- ajsalminen 10y agoThese are not active protection systems though. Also, I'm pretty sure that they have at least older generation Kontakt ERA that dates back from the Soviet Union in use.
