- vkatluri 10y agoWhat? Why do you say this isn't possible? This is a series hybrid vehicle, not a pure electric vehicle. Series hybrid has been done for a long time now: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diesel-electric_transmission https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diesel-electric_transmission This is nothing new technology-wise.
- blakeyrat 10y agoIf you think turbines aren't possible, you might need to have a word with... uh literally everything producing power with turbines since the 1910s. It's extremely well-proven, reliable technology. (It's just very bad at powering wheels directly, because it only runs efficiently at a single speed-- for a generator, however, that's perfect.)
