The blockchain is only half of it. These guys are using IPFS for the other half.
- kang 10y agoThey are using blockchain for decentralized payment system and IPFS for decentralized file hosting but they have rejected the hashcash algo which is the basis of invention of blockchain, by not using PoW. They solve this by providing a paid-membership. So basically, a content creator is paying this fees for availing the network affect of akasha.world instead of publishing it for free on their own blog and putting in an address.
