However, the underlying tactic that ad hominem attacks are used for is misdirection - and since you brought up ad hominem, I'll point out you did not bother to dispute the actual arguments the counter article made. Specifically - the data was cherry picked, and that there simply is not enough data to draw a reasonable conclusion. IMHO, dropping tidal gauges mid-data, ignoring annual, tidal, and multi-decadal trends are things that should not be so easily dismissed.
