My eye twitched a little when I read that. Is the author trying to suggest that Linux is some hackers-only operating system?
- AdmiralAsshat 10y agoWell, c'mon now. When was the last time you saw someone with a Linux laptop that wasn't a hacker? :P
- cmdrfred 10y agoLittle kids with chromebooks.
- JustSomeNobody 10y agoYou should watch them more closely. Little kids are devious. :)
- qwertyuiop924 10y agoYeah. Back in the days of 2012 when schools used Macs, some of the kids caught on to the fact that SSH and Terminal existed because I was using them. Now NOBODY is safe. :-D
- kbart 10y agoGetting tired of constantly cleaning malware from my father's and sister's laptops, I've installed Linux Mint for them. No complaints so far (few years later) and I highly doubt they are hackers.
- jswny 10y agoOr that somehow they wouldn't be qualified for this if they didn't use Linux.
- witty_username 10y agoHow? The author just said they use a Linux laptop.
- castratikron 10y agoI think he meant to imply that the platform they used was common and easy for anyone to deploy.
- joeyrobert 10y agoI think it just means they used a Linux laptop.
