They literally generate value for their investors. A waiter in a restaurant is just shifting money around without 'making anything of value' - should we vote him, and the entire service economy, out of existence as well?
- peonicles 10y agoThe waiter provides a service in exchange for money. Hedge fund managers literally move money around. Their value add is debatable.
- growse 10y agoThey move their investors' money around, thus providing a service to their investors, in exchange for money. I'm not sure I see the difference.
