I often give a terse reply, thinking the implications are obvious, and then get down-votes until I explain my comment in extreme detail, at which point they are often reversed. I need to learn that people sometimes need things spelled out in full. It's happening again here. That all sounds a bit harsh, but I'll let it stand. It's probably just a consequence of people being busy.
